Becky Lien is an accomplished data science professional with over 15 years’ experience as a public health statistician and survey methodologist. Becky excels in statistical programming using SAS, visualizing data, and finding the most appropriate statistical analysis to inform data-driven decision making.
At Lantana, Becky manages the Statistics and Data Architecture department of the Data Science Division. She supports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP) Statistics Team by performing predictive regression modeling and survey sampling and weighting. She is a member of the social determinates of health (SDoH) workgroup for the CDC’s Surveillance Branch.
Becky earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from Carleton College and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota.
